Overview of the Desert Mallow Neighborhood

The Desert Mallow neighborhood is a small, mixed-use neighborhood located not too far from downtown Tucson. It comprises single family homes, apartments, student housing, businesses, Banner Medical Center, and, the University of Arizona to name a few.

The boundaries of the Desert Mallow neighborhood are Campbell Avenue on the East, Speedway Boulevard on the South, Park Avenue on the West, and Elm Street on the North.

Many residents and passersby can be seen walking our streets. Some are traveling to and from the university or hospital; others are merely out for a walk. A limited, but slowly growing, number of bike paths are available for those with bikes. There is a small park right on the corner of Mountain and Mable; next to the park there is also a community garden. The neighborhood is also one of the few to have our very own lightrail stop, which is located at Helen Street and Warren Avenue.
